Prepping for ACL Surgery

Prepping for ACL Surgery

I don't remember where my last post ended - but let's just fast forward to now.

I'd been in touch with Martial Arfs to see if we should look into cold laser therapy for Lucy and help her feel faster. I emailed with Doctor Eve who informed me that while Laser therapy can help diminish the swelling, inflammation and pain, healing would still be slow. Not only that, but with every movement, the edges of the tear just get pulled further and further apart. So even with the laser, just a little wrong turn or sprint would undo all of the work.

This scares me a lot. Lucy's made some progress through her physical therapy, but even with that, some weeks she just seems to digress.

I'm going to do some more research and put together a one-sheeter so that if any of your dogs ever get into this situation, it can be helpful to you too.
