After Surgery: 2 Week Update

It's week 2 after Surgery now, and Lucy is doing really well. Her scar is fully healed, and we were able to get her stitches removed over the weekend.

She still isn't putting her full weight on the leg, but her whole paw is touching the floor when she walks.

She's in good spirits and is already ready to start playing with Jordi. We still keep a strict eye on her movements, and for now they both just lay in their beds and make ugly faces at each other--you know that face that dogs make when they pull their lips back, scrunch their faces up and show their teeth? It's that one.

I'm so glad that we have Jordi to give her some mental and emotional stimulation while she's recovering.

We've been spending a lot of time practicing commands as well to give her some mental exercise. She doesn't do much walking, but hopefully she'll be strong enough for super short walks next week.

We're keeping our fingers crossed as always.
